How to Set Gmail as the Default Email Handler

Step 1: Open Google Chrome

Ensure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome for the best experience.


Step 2: Open Gmail

  1. Go to https://mail.google.com

  2. Sign in with your Gmail account if you're not already logged in.

Step 3: Enable Gmail as the Default Handler

  1. In the address bar, look for a small handler icon (a double diamond symbol).

  2. Click on the icon.

  3. A prompt will appear asking:
    “Allow mail.google.com to open all email links?”

  4. Select "Allow" and click "Done".


Step 4: If You Don’t See the Handler Icon

If the handler icon does not appear, you can enable it manually:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Scroll down and select Privacy and security.

  4. Click on Site settings.

  5. Under Additional permissions, click Handlers.

  6. Ensure the setting is enabled: "Sites can ask to handle protocols."

  7. Please make sure "Gmail" is set as default.

Step 5: Test the Configuration

In your Numa platform, please try clicking on Share -> Email, Gmail should automatically open with the copied content.
